During its rapid growth in the past years, GCL-Poly has always kept in mind its responsibility to the society. Our biomass power plants in Baoying and Lianyungang use crop straws, which are acquired from local farmers, as fuels. By doing this, we not only protect the rural environment from being polluted by openly burning crop straws, but also generate approximately RMB150 million income to local farmers. This strongly support the New Rural Construction advocated by the Government. In June 2007, the former Vice Premier Mr. Zeng Peiyuan visited our Baoying Power Plant and set a high value on the Plant.
